§ 208.16. Initiation and notice of investigation.

(a)In general. Except as provided in paragraph
(b)of this section, after acceptance of a properly filed petition under this part 208, the Commission will promptly initiate an appropriate investigation and will publish notice thereof in the Federal Register.
(b)Exception. Except for good cause determined by the Commission to exist, no new investigation will be made under section 322 of the Act with respect to the same subject matter as a previous investigation under section 322 of the Act unless one
(1)year has elapsed since the Commission made its report to the President of the results of such previous investigation.
